The High Commission arranged Kashmir Solidarity Day event at the High Commission today. A large number of community members attended the event. Messages of the President and the Prime Minister were also read out to the audience. A short film on the atrocities of the Indian forces against the innocent people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) was screened.
The High Commissioner briefed the community members about the current situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and said that the spirit of self-determination from the hearts of the people of Kashmir cannot be suppressed by killing, intimidation, and enforced disappearance of Kashmiri people, and media blackout in the IIOJK. He said that Pakistan would continue to extend all out diplomatic, moral and political support to the People of Kashmir in their just struggle for self-determination as per the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The Community expressed their firm resolve to stand with the people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, the national anthems of Pakistan and Kashmir were also played.
