The National Day reception was held on 23rd April 2024 in Algiers, which was a great success, as around 150 diplomats, government officials, businesspersons, investors, professors, YouTube Bloggers and Pakistani community members attended the event. The event held at the Embassy premises, was hailed as an excellent opportunity for networking and promoting Pakistan’s soft image, with the attendees appreciating the effort put into organizing such a great event.

The Government of Algeria nominated two Ministers, namely Minister of Trade and Export Promotion and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to be the Guest of Honours at the event. The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion Mr. Tayeb Zitouni graced the occasion as the Chief Guest as the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research could not attend the event due to some emergency.

In his speech, Ambassador, Khalid Gudaro highlighted the history of Pakistan’s Resolution and emphasized on further improving bilateral relations with Algeria in all fields, political, economic, defense, science and technology and culture. He also emphasized on regular exchange of high level political visits as well as holding of future sessions of Bilateral Political Consultation as well as of Joint Ministerial Commission.

Mr. Zitouni emphasized on further improving the existing relations especially in the field of trade and commerce and he emphasized that both the countries would further benefit from improving their trade and commerce relations.

The event was not only a celebration but also a platform for strengthening ties, fostering collaboration, and promoting mutual understanding between the two countries.
