The Embassy of Pakistan in Rabat hosted a colourful and memorable reception yesterday evening in the lawns of the Ambassador’s residence to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day. The event brought together a distinguished gathering of resident Ambassadors, senior Moroccan government officials, prominent businessmen and notable members of the Pakistani community in Morocco.The Honorable Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, underscoring the importance of the strong and enduring ties between the two countries.In his address, Ambassador Syed Adil Gilani spoke about the abiding friendship between Pakistan and Morocco, highlighting the historical depth of the relationship and reaffirming the commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation. He also touched upon Pakistan’s decisive victory in the recent Indian aggression and the significance of the Marka-e-Haq celebrations for the nation.A ceremonial cake-cutting, attended by all Ambassadors and Moroccan dignitaries present, symbolized unity and shared celebration. The cultural highlight of the evening was a captivating performance by Moroccan artists, who danced on Pakistani national songs to the delight of the audience.Guests enjoyed a sumptuous array of Pakistani and Moroccan dishes, with freshly cut Pakistani mangoes proving to be the star attraction of the evening. The sweet aroma and rich flavour of the fruit left a lasting impression on attendees.Held under a pleasant August breeze, the event was a true reflection of Pakistan’s cultural richness, the warmth of Pakistani hospitality, and the deep-rooted friendship between Pakistan and Morocco.
