Ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman HE Ali Javed and Commander Royal Navy of Oman Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raeesi accorded a warm welcome to Pakistan's Chief Of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi and accompanying delegation upon arrival at Muscat last night. The CNS who had arrived from his bilateral visit to Maldives, is scheduled to hold strategic exchanges with Secretary General Defence (MoS), Chief of Sultan Armed Forces in addition to his counterpart Rear Admiral Raeesi who is a graduate of National Defence College (now NDU) Pakistan. Pakistan and Oman are strategic neighbors enjoying historically friendly and fraternal relations deeply embedded in their common history and a unique blood bond. Bothe States conduct bilateral maritime exercises called 'Thamar al Tayyab' whose latest edition is scheduled for early 2019 whereas Oman regularly participates in Pakistan Navy multinational maritime exercises 'Aman' as well. Earlier, during March 2018, Chief Of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa undertook a bilateral visit to Oman.
