HE Ali Javed, the Ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman was recently invited to deliver a lecture at the prestigious National Defence College (NDC), the highest seat of learning for Military and Civil Officers of the Sultanate of Oman. Upon arrival at the premises, the Ambassador was accorded a warm welcome by Commandant NDC, Major General Salim bin Mussallam bin Ali Qatan. Both dignitaries praised historical bilateral linkages and committed to furthering bilateral cooperation and exchanges. The Commandant then accompanied the Ambassador for lecture to the '5th Round of Civil Defense Course 2017-18'. The Ambassador spoke on Pakistan's policy of "Peaceful Neighborhood", highlighted the core strengths and strategic overlap of bilateral relations, evolving regional dynamics and Pakistan's efforts to build, protect and promote global peace & security substantiated through leading contributions to UN Peace Keeping Operations and Maritime Security & Anti-Piracy operations. The Ambassador praised the five decades of His Majesty's visionary leadership and appreciated Omani society for hosting 272,000 Pakistani expats, ranking 5th worldwide.
