A webinar was organised by the Embassy of Pakistan, Berlin, today regarding the Jammu and Kashmir Black Day, and to exhibit solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Chargé d’Affaires, Mr. Majid Lodhi, welcomed the participants and underscored Pakistan’s unwavering commitment towards the peaceful resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations and the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri brethren.
Prominent Kashmiri leaders, including Mr. Ali Raza Syed, Ms. Shamim Shawl, Mr. Altaf Hussain Wani, Mr. Abdul Mateen and Mr. Imtiaz Iqbal Wani, also highlighted the grave situation in IIOJK and noted that the Kashmiris were being constantly deprived of their rights, under a planned and brutal effort by the Indian regime to materialize demographic imbalance and ethnic cleansing in the occupied territory. The speakers also narrated that grave human rights’ violations were being undertaken by the Indian occupation regime and forces towards the innocent Kashmiris, especially the youth.
The speakers underscored that the international community must ensure the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions for sustainable peace in the region and beyond.Mr. Volker Tschapke, Honorary President of the Prussian Society Berlin-Brandenburg, also stressed that the international community should become more sensitive towards the people of IIOJK and should play an active role for the swift resolution of this longstanding dispute. A large number of diaspora, friends and well-wishers of Pakistan attended the webinar.
