During his address, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to self-determination and condemned Israel’s illegal occupation, settlement expansion, and attempts to alter the historical and legal status of Al-Quds Al-Sharif. He reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Hashemite Custodianship over the Muslim and Christian Holy Sites in Jerusalem and emphasized that lasting peace could only be achieved through the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and contiguous State of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

On the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister held productive meetings with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, as well as the Foreign Ministers of Algeria, Somalia, and Egypt. He also participated in the R-4 meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Egypt.

During his visit to Jordan, the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister also joined other dignitaries attending the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem for a joint call on His Majesty King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Pakistan remains committed to working with Jordan, its Arab and Islamic partners, and the international community to advance a just, lasting, and comprehensive two-State solution to the Palestine issue.
