Salalah Airport received the first Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Sialkot on 31 October, 2022. Charge d’ Affaires (a.i) attended the inaugural event held at Salalah airport. The flight was welcomed with a traditional water salute by Oman Airports. PIA will operate one weekly flight from Sialkot. With an addition of a destination, PIA has increased its presence in Salalah, largest city in Dhofar region hosting 2nd largest number of Pakistani community. This will lead to more opportunity for tourism and greater people to people contact. Muscat, 3 November 2022
