Second Pakistani Food Festival in Morocco
The Embassy of Pakistan, Rabat, organised a 15-days long Pakistani Food Festival coinciding with the celebrations of Pakistan Day in four cities of Morocco, including Rabat, Marrakech, Casablanca and Tangier, from 24 March 2017 to 8 April 2017. The second food festival was planned after the success of earlier food festival in October 2016 and on demand of Moroccan people. The purpose of the food festival was to project the culture of Pakistan and to introduce the taste of Pakistani fine cuisine to the Moroccan people, which is famous for its peculiar taste around the World.
The Embassy invited three excellent chefs from Pakistan who introduced fine Pakistani cuisine to the Moroccan people. The Moroccan dignitaries including Walis of the regions, officials, businessmen, civil society, media personal, diplomatic corps, and general public were invited to the festival. Moreover, a large number of Moroccan people also turned up to taste Pakistani food.
This food festival came out to be the biggest success of this Mission with high level of representations. The Pakistani Food Festival was arranged in such a manner that it became a comprehensive Pakistani cultural show in which portraits and handicrafts of Pakistan were displayed, folk music was played and video clips projecting soft image were shown to the participants. This public diplomacy event generated enormous good will of Pakistan in Morocco.
