Keeping in view the success of last year's mango festival and ever increasing demand of Moroccan people for Pakistani mangoes, the Embassy of Pakistan, Rabat, organised Pakistani Mango festival in four cities of the Kingdom of Morocco, including Rabat, Safi, Marrakech and Agadir. Coinciding with the celebration of 70th anniversary of Pakistan's Independence Day, mango festival remained the most significant component of cultural events organised by the Embassy in Rabat, Safi and Marrakech. On 21 August 2017, the Embassy held the biggest Pakistani Mango Festival at chorniche area of Agadir. The event was attended by around 1,000 people for tasting of Pakistani mangoes. The participants appreciated delicacy and aromatic taste of Pakistani mangoes, and demanded availability of this fruit in the Moroccan market. The importers of fruits and representatives of beverage companies in Morocco also took keen interest in the import of Pakistani mangoes.
