The 6-week long diverse and vibrant celebrations of 'Pakistan Day' across the Sultanate of Oman were concluded with an emphatic showcasing of 80 exhibits underscoring the prowess in Contemporary, Miniatures and Calligraphic disciplines of 17 Pakistani artists. Themed 'Spectrum', the exhibition was inaugurated by Honorable Minister for Agriculture HE Dr. Sajwani as Chief Guest whereas Minister for Environment was nominated by government of Oman as Guest of Honor. Her Highness Susan Al Said graced the ceremony with her presence. The Event was organised on the premises of 'Oman Society for Fine Arts' (OSFA) from April 2- 12 with Businesses, Philanthropists and Pakistani community sponsoring the Event. Part of proceeds were gifted to 'Autism Society of Oman' including silent auction of 8 paintings. Chairwoman OSFA, Mariam Zadjali praised the ever increasing popularity of Pakistani artwork in Oman and expressed her desire to showcase Omani artists in Pakistan. Welcoming the proposal the Ambassador invited Chair OSFA to organise the Event in November coinciding with 'National Day of Oman' and further proposed formalizing links with 'Pakistan National Council of Arts'. The Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Ali Javed expressed gratitude to the Government of Oman for partnering in this vital initiative and praised the Event as a 'Bridge of Friendship' between two nations. He appreciated volunteering Pakistani ladies led by Dr. Shahnaz Wasti, who orgainsed the Event. The Ambassador thanked Their Excellencies the Ambassadors, representative of Omani Civil Society, Intellectuals, Academia, Artists, and fiends from Media for their active participation.
