(05 December, 2025, Tokyo: Ambassador Abdul Hameed and Trade & Investment Counsellor Ms. Madiha Ali met with Ms. Noriko Suzuki, Senior Director, and the leadership of the Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. TIB briefed the Embassy on Tokyo’s expanding innovation ecosystem, which has hosted over 1,300 events and 57,000 global participants at Sushi Tech Tokyo 2025.

Discussions highlighted opportunities for Pakistan’s startups—particularly in AI, robotics, resilience technologies, and entertainment/content, including gaming and animation, where Pakistani companies have strong capability. TIB encouraged Pakistan to explore participation in Sushi Tech Tokyo 2026, noting strong alignment between the event’s themes and Pakistan’s emerging creative-tech sector.
