Pakistan Navy Ship Alamgir (Alouette helicopter) visited Salalah, Oman from 07-10 September, 2019. The visit was part of Ship's ongoing Regional Maritime Security Patrol (RMSP) ensuring Pakistan Naval (PN) Fleets presence along critical chokepoints to fulfill international obligations for Maritime Security Operations. During the stay, Commanding Officer Captain Muhammad Akram PN called on Southern Naval Arad Commander and Deputy Commander 11 Infantry Brigade of Royal Army of Oman and discussed topics of mutual interest, including avenues of Naval collaboration. Commanding Officer also conveyed well wishes form Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi NI (M) for HM Sultan Qaboos, the people of Oman in general and the Royal Navy of Oman in particular. An onboard Dinner Reception marking Defence Day was attended by prominent members of Pakistani community and Officers of the Sultan Armed Forces with Southern Naval Area Commander as Chief Guest. Visit of Pakistan Navy Ship Alamgir was aimed at strengthening the bonds of friendship between two naval forces, enhance friendly ties, and explore new vistas for future collaborative initiatives between the two brotherly countries. The ship also conducted joint exercises with RNOV AL-RASIKH including PASSEX and coordinated Patrol (CORPAT), while enroute to deployment area. Embassy of Pakistan, Muscat September 11, 2019.
