Ambassador Aamar Aftab Qureshi assumed the charge as the Ambassador of Pakistan to Greece on 30 December 2022.

Ambassador Qureshi’s last appointment was as the Additional Foreign Secretary (Afghanistan & West Asia) at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad from December, 2020 – December- 2022.

Prior to that, he served as the Consul General of Pakistan at Manchester, United Kingdom from 2017-2019. His other diplomatic assignments include: Geneva, Switzerland (2013-2017); Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2009-2012); Stockholm, Sweden (2006-2009); and Kabul, Afghanistan (2000-2004). Ambassador Qureshi joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994. At the Ministry’s Headquarters, he served in various roles in political, administrative and protocol divisions.

Ambassador Qureshi holds an MBBS degree.
