H.E. Mr. Shoaib Sarwar is the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kingdom of Denmark. He holds an MBA from New York University, USA, and completed his BA (Honors) in Accounting and Finance at the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK, in 1998. Additionally, he is an alumnus of Indiana University, Bloomington.
Ambassador Shoaib Sarwar joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in January 2001. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has held various key positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His roles include Section Officer at Headquarters in 2002, Assistant Director from 2003 to 2004, Deputy Director from 2009 to 2010, and Director at the Foreign Service Academy from 2012 to 2014.
He also served as Deputy Secretary (Foreign Affairs) at the Prime Minister’s Office in 2014. His diplomatic career has seen him posted in Pakistan’s missions abroad, including Toronto (2004-2007), The Hague (2014-2017), and Los Angeles (2017-2021).
From June 2021 to July 2023, Mr. Sarwar served as Joint Secretary (Foreign Affairs) at the Prime Minister’s Office.
