Over the past several years, several Jordanian students have visited Pakistan annually for higher education, mostly in the fields of medicine and engineering. Around seventy per cent of these students carry out their studies on self-finance basis, while the rest are accommodated under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) and the Cultural Exchange Program. For each academic session, the Economic Affairs Division (EAD) allocates seats for Jordanian students in the domains of D. Pharmacy, B.D.S, M.B.B.S, and B.Sc. Engineering under PTAP. Under various technical cooperation schemes, Pakistan is also offering training to Jordanian officials in central and commercial banking, civil aviation, construction machinery, railways and postal services. There are approximately ten thousand Jordanian nationals who have graduated from Pakistani engineering universities, medical colleges and other professional institutions over the years.
