Attestation of Documents
Embassy of Pakistan, Bangkokcounter attests and legalizes a variety of documents. Requirements for Attestation and Legalization of documents vary depending upon nature of documents to be attested, origin of the document and nationality of the executant. Please read the following information carefully before visiting the Embassy / legalisation of your documents.
Attestation of Educational Documents
- Must be attested by Higher Education Commission and Ministry of Foreign Affairs or any of its camp offices
Character Certificate/Marital Status/Birth Certificate etc.
- Should be attested by the authorized Notary and Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its camp offices
Business/commercial Documents
- Must be attested by the concerned authorized notary/chamber and Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its camp offices

Gen Attestation
- All documents issued from Pakistan must be attested by MoFA, Islamabad or its camp offices at Karachi, Lahore, Gujrat, Quetta and Peshawar.
- All Thai documents must be attested by Thai, MoFA.
- All educational documents must be attested by HEC (Higher Education Commission) and subsequently by MoFA, Islamabad or its camp offices at Karachi, Lahore, Gujrat, Quetta and Peshawar.

Gen Procedure
- Personal appearance of executant(s)
- Two (02) Passport size Photograph of executant(s)

- Provision of each Executant’s original valid Pakistani passport or NADRA card along with its photocopy.
- Unsigned original document(s) along with a complete set of photocopies of all the documents being submitted for Attestation/Legalization
- Executant(s) will need to sign the document(s) in the presence of Embassy of Pakistan Bangkok’s official.
Miscellaneous Consular Services
Police Verification
Option I - Punjab Police Global Portal
- Applicants from Punjab can apply for Police Character Certificate through Punjab Police Global Portal. This facility is available at the Embassy of Pakistan, Bangkok, Thailand.
- Applicants need to visit the Embassy along with required documents original valid CNIC/Passport & 02 passport size pictures. Currently applicants from other Provinces can only avail option II/III.
- Requirements for Punjab Police Global Portal
- Original valid CNIC/NICOP and Pakistani / Foreign Passport
Option II
- Make an Authority Letter in the name of any relative in Pakistan.
- Get Authority Letter attested by the Consulate/Embassy.
- Bring a valid original and a copy of Pakistan ID (Passport or CNIC) along with your Authority Letter. Please bring a copy of these documents as well.
- Send this Attested Authority Letter to Pakistan to your relative/representative who will apply for your Police clearance Certificate from concerned Police Station.
- After getting (Police clearance Certificate) from Police Station make sure it is attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) before it is returned.
- You must attest your Police clearance Certificate from the Embassy before you show it to local authorities in Thailand.
Option III
- Four (04) photographs (fresh Passport size).
- Valid CNIC/NICOP or Pakistani Machine Readable Passport along with photocopies.
- Fill in the Application Form and get it attested by the Attestation Department in Embassy of Pakistan, Bangkok, Thailand.
Power of Attorney
- Executant has to visit Embassy personally and must sign the Power of Attorney in front of the concerned official.
- Original documents along with an additional set of photocopies.
- Original and valid Pakistani ID (Passport or CNIC / NICOP of the executants) as well as their photocopies.
- Copy of CNIC/NICOP/POC of the person (Attorney) to whom the Power of Attorney is being given.
- Two Passport size coloured photographs of the executant with white background taken within last three months. Photograph of the executant (person giving the power of attorney) must be pasted on the Power of Attorney beside his/her signature.
- Power of Attorney by a minor would only be attested on production of a Guardianship Certificate issued by a court.
- The Embassy only attests signature(s) of the executant(s) and does not take any responsibility for the contents or authenticity of the contents of the Power of Attorney.
Renunciation of Pakistani Nationality
- Application addressed to the Embassy of Pakistan stating reasons for Renunciation of Pakistani Citizenship.
- Copies (along with original) of Naturalization Certificate/Foreign Passport.
- Original (along with copies) of Pakistani Passports (particulars/photo/MRP page and applicant's CNIC/NICOP (both sides), all on one page (01 copy).
- Seven (7) Photographs 11⁄2 size with sky blue background.
- Copies along with Original of NICOP/Birth Certificate/Pakistan Passport and Foreign Passport of minor children of the male applicant only, residing abroad, where applicable (01 copy).
- Copies of Nikah Nama/divorce papers, of female applicants, provided passport/NICOP is not modified with husband/father's name respectively (01 copy).
- In case the applicant is not in possession of Pakistani Passport he/she may make a declaration on oath duly attested by the Embassy of Pakistan Bangkok mentioning therein the name/number, date and place of issue thereof.
- Application must be submitted in person.
- Any other relevant/supporting document that the applicant wish to add along with the above.
Commercial Documents
- Business/Commercial agreements or any other document on trade etc are required to be signed by the company executives and legalised by Foreign Office.
- Any legal document like Power of Attorney etc is required to be executed on Company’s letter head and legalised by Foreign Office thereafter procedure of Power of Attorney will be applied. Power of Attorneys, Agreement deeds and Authorization letter (Authority Letters) of all kinds either on stamp papers or Company’s letter head should have the personal appearance of the owner/M.D/C.E.O of the firm/Company/Business enterprise
Life Certificate for Pension Abroad
- To facilitate those Pakistani pensioners who are living abroad but receiving pension in Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan has decided that they may now submit their Life Certificates duly authenticated by Pakistan Embassy/Consulate or medical officer of the host country, through Embassy/Consulate to the Chief Account Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Chief Account Officer, in turn, will forward the same to the concerned bank for updating it in NADRA system
- Life Certificate for pension must be submitted by the pensioner personally. In case of ailment/old age the pensioner may send his blood relative to the Consulate by making an appointment through the Consulate's website. The pensioner's representative will submit the original and valid CNIC/NICOP/Pakistani Passport of the pensioner and arrange a video call so that the Consulate staff can talk to the pensioner personally and verify the particulars. After confirmation, the Consulate will only issue the life certificate for the pensioner. For any other kind of certificate/affidavit the pensioner has to visit the Consulate personally and sign before the Consular Officer
