Thailand hosted Pakistan’s 59th Defence and Martyrs Day Reception on 6th September
Ambassador Mrs. Rukhsana Afzaal visited Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade on the invitation of Chairman Mr. Sanan Angubolkul.
Ambassador Rukhsana Afzaal met Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director General (International Organizations) at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Matters of mutual interest, including ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation on international fora were discussed
Ambassador Rukhsana Afzaal called on Deputy Commander 4th Infantry Division, Col MitreeChupreecha today. She was accompanied by Defence Attache Col Shahadat Hussain. They explored ways of enhancing cooperation between the Embassy of Pakistan and Royal Thai Army in combating trafficking of Pakistanis across Thai-Myanmar border.
AmbRukhsanaAfzaal called on Deputy Governor of Tak Province H. E BunchuayHomyamyen and his team comprising senior officials of Immigration, Provincial Development and Human Security, Commercial and Administrative Affairs Departments. They explored avenues of enhancing bilateral economic cooperation. They also discussed steps for expediting safe repatriation of Pakistani victims of human trafficking and scamming syndicates on Thai-Myanmar borders
Ambassador RukhsanaAfzaal visited Pakistan Corner at the prestigious Thammasat University, Bangkok today. She was received by Associate Prof. SupreedeeRittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs and DrNitinantWisaweisuan from Faculty of Economics.
Ambassador RukhsanaAfzaal attended a Roundtable on “Forging partnerships in fight against Trafficking in Persons for forced criminality along Thailand’s borders”, co-hosted by the Department of Special Investigations and International Justice Mission. The event was attended by a large number of Embassies, NGOs and INGOs. The participants shared their experiences and best practices, besides discussing ways to devise strategies for a collective response to this global issue
In the context of the 5th Anniversary of Indian illegal & unilateral actions of annexation Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJ&K), @PakinThailand_& Thai-Pakistan Friendship Association (TPFA) organised a seminar at Ayutthaya. A large number of people, incl & Kashmiri diaspora, Pathans & members of civil society orgs participated in the event. The speakers highlighted 's gross violation of relevant UNSC Resolutions, UN Charter, International Law & bilateral agreements on Jammu & Kashmir. They condemned the continued human rights violations by in IIOJ&K. Underscoring the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu & Kashmir, they demanded the intl community to raise its voice to force to reverse its unilateral & illegal actions of 5 Aug 2019 & restore Artical 370 and 35A, & special status of IIOJ&K. Referring to the UNSC Resolutions, C.d'A Yasir Hussain stated that cannot deny Kashmiris the Right to Self-Determination & will continue to extend all possible political &diplomatic support for its realization.
