Consulate General of Pakistan

Visas are required for all travelers who are going to Pakistan on temporary basis such as tourism, studies, business, and medical treatment. This section provides visa services to Saudi citizens and third country nationals residing in Saudi Arabia. Under the new visa regime, approved by the Government of Pakistan recently, significant changes have been made. The salient features of the liberalized visa regime are:

  • Introduction of simplified system of online visa (visa.nadra.gov.pk) with fewer documents.
  • Visa-on-arrival (VOA) for 50 countries including Saudi Arabia coupled with Electronic Travel Authorization to be issued within 72 hours.
  • E-Visa for citizens of 175 countries including Saudi Arabia with simple requirements. Apply online on visa.nadra.gov.pk
  • Businessmen of 95 countries including Saudi Arabia can now avail Business Visa on Arrival facility (BVOA).

Note:

Consulate General of Pakistan  has stopped the manual processing of visas w.e.f 1st February 2021 except for Indian and Somalian nationals. Please visit online visa portal https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/ for submission of application for online visa (E-visa).

Types of Visa

Important Note

  • Applicants other than Saudi nationals should attach a copy of exit/re-entry visas with the application form.
  • Passport should be valid for at least a period of six months.
  • Pakistan origin foreign nationality holders with a valid Pakistan Origin Card (POC) can get visa without paying fee. Expired POC requires normal fee.
  • Ex-Pakistan nationals from dual nationality countries must have a valid CNIC/NICOP for free visa (except fee).
  • Foreign nationals visiting KSA for Umrah, Hajj or visit cannot obtain Pakistani visa from the Consulate in Jeddah. They must apply from Pakistan’s mission in their own country.

REQUIREMENTS FOR VISAS

  • Visa application form with two latest photographs, copy of passport and identity card / residence permit.
  • Invitation/ sponsor affidavit attested by Oath Commissioner (copy emailed to: parepjeddah@mofa.gov.pk).
  • Details regarding purpose of visit.
  • Copy of Passport/CNIC of relative in Pakistan.
  • Hotel Booking.
Business Visa 7-10 Working Days
  • Visa application form with photos, passport copy and residence permit copy.
  • Letter from Saudi company attested by Chamber of Commerce.
  • Invitation letter from Pakistan company/agent (attested by Chamber). Copy emailed to Consulate.
Study Visa Subject to approval by authorities in Pakistan
  • Visa form with photos, passport copy and residence permit.
  • Letter from university + HEC + Economic Affairs Division confirming admission.
  • Sponsor letter from embassy regarding financial status (for non-Saudi nationals).
Work Visa 7-10 Working Days
  • Visa form with photos, passport copy and residence permit.
  • Recommendation from Board of Investment, Pakistan.
  • Security clearance (if required by agencies).
Diplomatic / Official Visa Subject to approval by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad
  • Visa form with photos, passport copy and residence permit.
  • MOFA Pakistan facilitates issuance of gratis visa/accreditation cards for diplomats.
  • Only authorized slots will be granted diplomatic visa.
  • Security clearance required for additional slots.
Journalist Visa 7-10 Working Days
  • Visa form with photos, passport copy and residence permit.
  • Recommendations from Press Attaché / Link Offices (Indian journalists apply via Ministry of Information Pakistan).
Family Visit Visa 7-10 Working Days
  • Visa form with photos, passport copy and residence permit.
  • Photocopy of Nikah Nama + CNIC.
Other Visas (Tabligh, Missionary, NGO, House Maid Work) —
  • Visa form with photos, passport copy and residence permit.
  • Approval of Ministry of Interior.

Note:

  • While applying online, scanned copies of required documents must be attached.
  • Online visa facility is not valid for Indian and Somalian nationals.
  • While processing the visa, the applicant’s passport must be valid for at least six months.
  • Hotel booking and residential address in Pakistan are required for a tourist visa.
  • Address of the applicant's relative in Pakistan is required for a family visit visa.
  • Name, contact number, and address of the Pakistani company are required for business-related applications.
