Nulla Osta for Marriage

Both the prospective bride and groom must appear personally before the Consulate with:

• Passport
• CNIC/NICOP
• Valid Residence Permit

Pakistani citizens must provide:

• Unmarried/Divorce Certificate issued by the Union Council
• Affidavit from parents confirming marital status and expressing no objection to the marriage
• Death Certificate of parents (if applicable)
• Police Character Certificate
• Birth Certificate issued by Union Council (or S-Form for birth abroad)

All Pakistani documents must first be attested or apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan.

Additional requirements:

Widow/Widower

• Death Certificate (MOFA attested)
• NADRA CNIC Cancellation Certificate (MOFA attested)

Divorcee

• Marital status must first be updated in the NADRA database.

Italian Citizen

• Unmarried/Divorce Certificate issued by the Comune and legalized by the Prefettura.

Third Country National

• Marital status certificate issued by the competent authority of their country and legalized by their Embassy or Consulate in Italy.
