Chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)

          Pakistan has formally assumed Chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) for the term 2026–2027 following the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek.
 
         The Chairmanship marks a significant milestone for Pakistan, which will oversee the SCO’s programme for the coming year and host the 2027 SCO Council of Heads of State Summit in Islamabad.
