On 06 November 2025, H.E. Faryal Leghari, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkmenistan, had the honor of inaugurating the Pakistan Books Space at the prestigious State Library of the Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan.
This significant event marks a new chapter in strengthening cultural and educational ties between Pakistan and Turkmenistan. The ceremony, held with great warmth and hospitality, included an insightful tour of the library led by Ms. Lachyn Nurmuhammedova, Director of the National Library.
As part of this initiative, the Embassy of Pakistan donated over 30 curated books to the library, featuring: Pictorial books on Pakistan’s landscapes, heritage sites, art and culture, works on Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Urdu linguistic books, Pakistani literature & poetry & Academic publications.
This new space will provide the people of Turkmenistan with direct access to Pakistani literature, Urdu language texts, and more — building a cultural bridge for greater people-to-people connections and academic exchange.
