On 16th July, 2026, H.E. Mr. Ji Shumin, Ambassador, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China invited H.E. Dr. Faryal Leghari, Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkmenistan and other diplomats from the Embassy of Pakistan to a friendly dinner. Over dinner, the two sides affirmed the iron-clad friendship between China and Pakistan, and discussed mutual areas of cooperation, including security, economic and political developments. The Ambassadors agreed on the necessity of resolving regional conflicts through mediation and diplomatic channels. Ambassador Ji Shumin appreciated Pakistan's tireless diplomatic efforts to mediate Iran-US conflict. Both sides also discussed transnational energy and connectivity links, noting the significance of Gwadar's potential as a crucial transit energy hub.
