On 19 August 2025, H.E. Dr. Faryal Leghari paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Ji Shumin, Ambassador of China in Ashgabat. During the meeting, both sides congratulated each other on assumption of diplomatic office in Turkmenistan. Ambassador Leghari reiterated Pakistan's iron clad relations with China, irrespective of relations with other states. Both Ambassadors pledged to cooperate and strengthen friendship between the two Missions in Turkmenistan. The two diplomats also exchanged gifts from Pakistan and China.
