On 29th April, 2026, H.E. Dr. Faryal Leghari, Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkmenistan called on H.E. Mr. Batyr Annayev, Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers / In-charge of Transport and Communications Agency at Cabinet Ministers of Turkmenistan. During the meeting, both sides reiterated the need to strengthen cooperation in transport and connectivity projects. The Ambassador thanked H.E Mr. Batyr Annayev for his time. It was mutually agreed to work proactively in the following sectors;

• Work in Civil Aviation and address any issues for resumption of direct air connectivity between Turkmenistan and Pakistan
• Explore road transport and railway links connecting Pakistan and Central Asia via Turkmenistan
• Expand existing trade via Iran and Turkmenistan using railway
• Work closely to finalise Trade Agreements preceding the high-level visit to Pakistan being scheduled.

        H.E. the Ambassador and H.E. Mr. Batyr Annayev promised to work together to realize the bilateral objectives.
