On August 07, 2025 Ambassador Dr. Faryal Leghari met H.E. Mr. Mammetkhan Chakyev, Deputy Chairman of Cabinet Minister / in charge of Transport and Communications Agency at Cabinet Ministers of Turkmenistan on the sideline of the UN LLDC 3 in Awaza. The two sides discussed ways to implement regional and trade connectivity corridors between Turkmenistan, Central Asia, and Pakistan. The two agreed that Pakistan-Turkmenistan are well positioned to expand road, railway and air connectivity and act as a bridge for the landlocked countries to the seaports in Pakistan to reach the Gulf States, Africa and beyond. Pakistan affirmed its resolve to cooperate with Turkmenistan and work jointly on strengthening trade and transport, humanitarian and cultural links. The Ambassador Faryal Leghari appreciated the beautiful Turkmen carpet gifted by H.E. Mr. Mammetkhan Chakyev.
