On 05th August 2026, the Embassy of Pakistan observed Youm-e-Istehsal to express solidarity with the resilient people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who continue to face grave challenges in the pursuit of their legitimate right to self-determination. On the occasion, the Ambassador of Pakistan, Dr. Faryal Leghari read out the Messages of the President, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister/ Foreign Minister.
Participants have been briefed about the ongoing situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir that is adversely impacting the lives, rights, and freedoms of the Kashmiri people. In her speech, the Ambassador noted that despite lapse of seven years, the unlawful measures have neither changed the legal status of Jammu and Kashmir nor diminished the legitimate aspiration of its people. The Ambassador paid homage to the resilience, courage, and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people.
Pakistan stands in steadfast solidarity with Kashmiri people and will continue to extend its unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support to their just struggle for the realization of their legitimate right to self-determination in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
