On the sidelines of the 68th Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), held in Vienna from March 10-14, 2025, Pakistan organized two significant side events to showcase its commitment to combating drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
The first event, titled "Preventing Drug Abuse in Educational Settings: Pakistan's Experience and Achievements" was organized by the Permanent Mission in collaboration with UNODC Country Office in Pakistan.
The second event, "Pakistan's Resolve Against the Transitioning Drugs Challenge" highlighted the country's determination to address evolving drug-related issues.
Both events featured addresses by the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations in Vienna, Director General of Pakistan's Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), and UNODC Country Representative for Pakistan
These side events provided a platform for Pakistan to reiterate its unwavering commitment to combating the illicit trafficking of drugs and to share its experiences and strategies in drug abuse prevention, particularly within educational settings.
The events underscored Pakistan's proactive approach to addressing drug-related challenges and its ongoing collaboration with international partners in the global fight against narcotics.
