Economic Cooperation

The two countries have a Joint Working Group on Trade and Economic Cooperation, established in 1994, which meets alternately in Islamabad and Vienna every three to four years. In November 2015, the Fifth Session of the Austrian-Pakistan Joint Working Group on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Vienna, focusing on areas such as energy, environmental technology, infrastructure, tourism, and SME promotion.
