On January 7, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, met with the Ambassador of Pakistan, Faryal Leghari, in Ashgabat. 

Key Highlights:
i. Preparations for high-level state visits planned for this year.
ii. Organizing the 6th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
iii. Upcoming Turkmen-Pakistani Business Forum and high-level political consultations.
iv. Reviewing a new package of bilateral documents set to be signed in 2026.

Both sides expressed their commitment to intensifying bilateral ties and launching new joint initiatives in the coming year.
