On 6th of June 2026, H.E. Dr. Faryal Leghari, Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkmenistan and Mian Mohammad Mansha, Chairman of Nishat Group and accompanying delegation visited Turkmenbashy Textile Complex and Ashgabat Textile Complex. Mr. Togtamurat Meredov, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan accompanied the delegation during the visit to these factories.
During the visit, the visitors were shown the impressive scale of Turkmen home products, yarn, and grey cloth production. The knitting units using special blended cotton were of special interest. Nishat Textile Group, under Mr. Mansha has textile factories in Pakistan that import high-quality Turkmen yarn. Mr. Mansha praised the efficient production system and especially commended the large workforce in the textile units comprising women. The Ambassador was shown the sleepwear, T-shirts and other products being made that were supplied domestically and also exported.
Following the round of the factories, Mr. Mansha and the Deputy Minister of Textiles, Mr. Togtamurat Meredov had an in-depth meeting on site, where they discussed ways to increase Turkmen exports to Nishat Textiles and also discussed the possibility of opening retail stores in respective countries. Mr. Mansha invited Mr. Togtamurat Meredov to visit Pakistan to see the textile companies working in Pakistan. Both sides agreed on using direct means of trading in textiles to bypass third-party middlemen.
