On 12th November, 2025, Ambassador of Pakistan, Dr. Faryal Leghari and Secretary Railways Syed Mazhar Ali Shah attended the international exhibition and Conference titled ‘International Transport and Transit Corridors: Connectivity and Development — 2025. Railways, roads, marine, and digital connectivity were the central features of the conference sessions. Secretary Railways gave a comprehensive brief and detailed Pakistan’s connectivity projects specifically relevant to Central Asian experts and government audiences in Session II of the Conference on November 12, 2025. Moreover, the Secretary Railways held a meeting with the Minister of Railways Mr. Mammet Akmammedov to share knowledge of transport regional corridors. Pakistan invited Turkmenistan to join its multimodal connectivity project, and vice versa. The fruitful discussions culminated in both sides agreeing to work together to form a Joint Working Group, bilateral visits and holding of multilateral video conferences with relevant stakeholders as part of regional corridors, aimed at benefiting the two partners and strengthening economic partnerships.
