Assalam-o-alaikum As we bid farewell to the holy month of Ramadan, on behalf of my colleagues at the Pakistan Embassy I would like to convey our best wishes and warm regards to the Pakistani community, Thai-Pakistanis, Thai friends and others on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Fitr. This year, Ramadan, in appearance, may have been different in view of social distancing and other COVID related safety measures. Allah's infinite blessings nevertheless know no bounds. Humility, compassion, self-control and patience are the hallmarks of submission and spirituality associated with fasting. May Allah Almighty accept our prayers and have mercy on all. Due to travel restrictions, many of us could not be with our families and loved ones for Ramadan and Eid. And just on the eve of the Eid, we have been saddened and devastated by the tragic loss of life in the plane accident in Karachi. Our thoughts and prayers are with all families and friends who have lost their loved ones. We also remain mindful of millions of people who have been affected by the pandemic around the world, and require our support and solidarity. We hope and pray for the improvement and early normalization of the situation. The Embassy remains at your service. Let us observe this Eid in simplicity, dignity and prayers. Please take care of yourself, family members and friends. Eid Mubarak! Sincerely Asim Iftikhar Ahmad Ambassador
