The Black Day to express solidarity with the people of Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir was observed in the Embassy of Pakistan in Bangkok. In this regard a talk on "Kashmir cause- Human Rights Perspective" was arranged on 30 October 2016. The event was attended by a large number of students, academia and members of Pakistani community in Thailand. Messages from the President and Prime Ministers of Pakistan were read and a briefing session on the historical background of the conflict and human rights violations was conducted. A short documentary on the impact of pellet guns, used against the innocent Kashmiri youth, women and children, was also shown at the occasion. Ambassador Sohail Khan, in his remarks said the resolution of Kashmir issue was essential as the status que could not be maintained. Indian occupying forces were using all kinds of oppressive measures and torture in the guise of terrorism against the Kashmiri people. A question and answer session was held at the end. All participants actively contributed to the discussion and enriched their knowledge on the Kashmir cause.
