The Embassy of Pakistan in Stockholm hosted a Christmas Fika to celebrate the festive spirit of Christmas, bringing together members of Pakistani diaspora and Swedish friends. The event was graced by H.E. Archbishop Julio Murat, Ambassador of the Holy See to Sweden, as the Guest of Honour.

Ambassador Bilal Hayee welcomed the guests and highlighted the values of peace, compassion and inclusiveness embodied in Christmas while underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to interfaith harmony and mutual respect.

A Pakistan-origin choir from the Equmenia Church in Hallunda performed Christmas carols during the event. Professional Swedish tenor of Pakistani descent Mr. Vincent Hashmi also performed on the occasion. The event concluded with the cutting of a Christmas cake.
