Renunciation of Pakistani Nationality
Please note that a minor below the age of 21 years cannot renounce his/her Pakistani nationality.
Pakistan has a dual nationality agreement with both Sweden and Finland. Therefore, individuals holding nationality of either country are not required to renounce their Pakistani nationality. However, if an applicant still wishes to do so, the following documents must be submitted for processing:
Duly filled original Form X (four sets)
Copy of Swedish or Finnish passport
Computer Proforma (two sets)
Original CNIC or NICOP along with CNIC cancellation receipt
Copies of valid Pakistani passport
Five recent colour photographs (not older than six months)
Original fee receipt of SEK 800
Written statement explaining the reason for renunciation, signed by the applicant
Please note that personal appearance at the Embassy is mandatory for submission of the above documents. Email at passport@pakistanembassy.se for booking an appointment to visit the Embassy.
Processing of the renunciation request may take up to six (6) months.

Note: As part of the ID card cancellation process, NADRA may require an Undertaking duly attested by the Embassy.
