On 21st October 2024, Acting Consul General paid an official visit to University of Engineering Science & Technology (UESTC), and met with Vice President Professor Luo Guangchun, and his delegation.

2024年10月21日，代总领事正式访问电子科技大学，会见了电子科技大学罗光春副校长一行。

UESTC is one of the premier institutions of China and Sichuan province. Having a history of 68 years, the university ranks amongst the top in disciplines of Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Computer Engineering.

电子科技大学是中国和四川省的一流大学之一。学校有68年的办学历史，在通信工程、电气与电子工程、计算机工程等学科中名列前茅。

 During the detailed briefing given by Prof. Luo, the history, recent success, university goals, and international collaboration was discussed.

在罗教授的详细介绍中，涉及了关于学校历史，最近的成功案例，大学的目标和国际合作。

 Mr. Agha thanked Vice President Luo and his delegation for the warm reception, and was very happy to find out that close to 200 Pakistani students were currently enrolled at the university, and some former alumni had gone on to be associate professors and researchers at universities around the globe, carrying the pride of both UESTC and Pakistan along with them.

胡楠先生感谢罗副校长一行的热情接待，并很高兴地发现，我校目前有近200名巴基斯坦学生入学，一些校友已经成为世界各地大学的副教授和研究员，他们是电子科大和巴基斯坦的骄傲。

Vice President was also very forthcoming about possible collaborations with relevant universities in Pakistan, and thanked Mr. Agha for the suggestion and requested for sharing of information so that the process could move forward.

副校长还非常愿意与巴基斯坦有关大学进行合作，并感谢胡楠先生的建议，并要求分享信息，以便这一进程能够向前推进。

Additionally, the Acting Consul General also held an interactive session with some of the Pakistani students. It was heartening to see that the students were doing well, many of whom had taken advantage of the range of scholarships on offer, and were fully integrated in life at the university. Issues such as visas and future employment were discussed.

此外，代总领事还与部分巴基斯坦学生进行了互动交流。看到学生们表现得很好令人振奋，他们中的许多人都利用了学校提供的各种奖学金，并完全融入了大学生活。会议中还讨论了签证和未来就业等问题。
