75th Independence Day of Pakistan was commemorated in a dignified manner by the Embassy of Pakistan, Beirut on 14 August 2022. The ceremony was attended by a large number of Pakistani community members and the Lebanese citizens belonging to different walks of life. Messages of President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan on the occasion of 75th Independence were also read. The Ambassador of Pakistan in his address congratulated the Pakistani community and said that the Day reminds us of the sacrifices of our forefathers for freedom of our homeland. We as a nation have achieved many milestones during the last 75 years and its time to seek guidance from the ideology and thoughts of our forefathers to make our country greater. He also reiterated the resolve of Government of Pakistan to stand with our Kashmir brethren in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) till the dispute is settled as per their aspirations and in accordance with UN resolutions. He urged the community to remain united and work hard for progress of Pakistan. Beirut 14 August 2022
