Federal Minister of Law & Justice, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, visited Baku from 9-13 July on the invitation of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Farid Ahmadov. During the visit, the Minister engaged in meetings with the Prime Minister, Mr. Ali Asadov and the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, Mr. Inam Karimov.

During the Honorable Minister’s official visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Law and Justice of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was also signed. The two sides agreed to enhance institutional cooperation with a particular emphasis on digitization of judicial procedures, alternate dispute resolution mechanisms and capacity building of the judicial officers. The Honorable Minister also invited H.E. Farid Ahmadov to undertake an official visit of Pakistan in October 2025.
