On the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will undertake an official visit to Azerbaijan from 14-15 June 2023.

The Prime Minister will hold one on one meeting with President of Azerbaijan
H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev followed by delegation level talks. The two leaders will exchange views on diverse areas of mutual interest including cooperation in energy, trade and investment as well as people to people exchanges. Ministers representing the priority areas of cooperation with Azerbaijan will be part of Prime Minister’s entourage.

The Prime Minister’s visit is poised to strengthen the deep-rootedfraternal ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan with a view to fostering closer cooperation across various domains for the mutual benefit of their people.

Pakistan-Azerbaijan relationship is embedded in commonalities of faith, culture and history, and strengthened by mutual trust and convergence of views on regional and global matters. Recent frequency of leadership level exchanges highlights the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
