On August 26, 2025, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) and the Institute of Urban Agriculture (IUA) in Chengdu hosted the opening ceremony for the second batch of Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's 1000 Agriculture Training Programme. The ceremony welcomed 86 Pakistani agriculture professionals who will undergo a three-month training program focusing on agricultural mechanization and fruit and vegetable processing technology.
