The High Commission of Pakistan in Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), facilitated the participation of Pakistani food manufacturers and exporters at SIAL Malaysia 2026 (Food & Drinks Malaysia by SIAL), held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. SIAL Malaysia is one of Southeast Asia’s leading food and beverage exhibitions, bringing together exhibitors and trade buyers from around the world.
The Pakistan Pavilion showcased a wide range of products, including processed foods, beverages, dairy products, spices, Himalayan pink salt, citrus products, and other value added food items, presented by leading Pakistani food companies. The Pavilion attracted visits from Malaysian government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, international participants, and media representatives. Among the distinguished visitors were Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Datuk Chan Foong Hin, along with representatives of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM).
Direct exhibitors, supported by SIAL Malaysia’s local partners, included Young’s, Dipitt, AL Amin Salt, Sapphire Dairies, Salesflo, and Hunza Citrus, while the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) facilitated the participation of Hemani, Shezan, Six B Foods, Fruiticana, Iftekhar Ahmed & Co., Quice, and Ahmed Foods under the Pakistan Pavilion.
During the exhibition, the High Commission facilitated more than 200 business-to-business meetings between Pakistani exporters and Malaysian as well as international buyers including leading retailers, importers, distributors, wholesalers, and food service companies. The engagements provided opportunities to explore new export avenues, expand distribution networks, and develop commercial partnerships.
Speaking on the occasion, High Commissioner Syed Ahsan Raza Shah highlighted Pakistan’s growing food export potential and emphasized the importance of strengthening commercial ties with Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region. He noted that Pakistan’s diverse and high quality food products have significant potential in international markets, particularly in Malaysia’s halal sector.
Pakistan’s participation at SIAL reflects the continued efforts by the High Commission to promote Pakistani exports.
