High Commissioner of Pakistan, Mr. Salman Athar, presented his credentials to H.E. Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, President of the Republic of Cyprus in an elegant ceremony held in Nicosia on 13 July 2022. He conveyed greetings from President of Pakistan to H.E. the President of the Republic of Cyprus. Welcoming the High Commissioner to Cyprus, H.E. President Anastasiades reciprocated the sentiments of the Pakistani leadership. The High Commissioner stated that Pakistan and Cyprus both are heirs to great ancient civilizations. Pak-Cyprus bilateral relations are characterized by similarity of views on important regional and global issues. High Commissioner stressed that there exists great scope for building upon cooperation and benefitting from each other’s experiences. The High Commissioner expressed his resolve to work, with the support of the Cypriot government, towards further strengthening the existing friendly relations between Pakistan and Cyprus in various areas of cooperation. H.E. the Cypriot President affirmed his government’s readiness to facilitate the High Commissioner’s mission towards achievement of the common goal of deepening bilateral ties.   Beirut 13 July 2022
