Appeal for Contributions by Overseas Pakistanis

Pakistan is currently grappling with severe flooding that has resulted in a tragic loss of life and extensive damage to critical infrastructure, including roads, railways, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities. The magnitude of this disaster has created an urgent need for immediate and comprehensive humanitarian intervention to support the affected population.

In light of the invaluable contributions consistently made by overseas Pakistanis during times of crisis, and recognizing their generous support in the past, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has developed comprehensive guidelines. These are designed to facilitate both cash donations and in-kind assistance from the Pakistani community worldwide.

Regarding in-kind assistance, overseas Pakistani community organizations and individual philanthropists are advised to coordinate directly with reputable non-governmental and international organizations that are actively carrying out relief operations in the affected areas. The Government of Pakistan will not assume responsibility for customs clearance of consignments or any demurrage charges that may arise.
