On the sixth anniversary of India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019 in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the Embassy of Pakistan to the State of Kuwait observed ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’ to express solidarity with the people of IIOJK in their just struggle for freedom and right to self-determination. The event was attended by a large number of notable Pakistani community members, women as well as Kashmiri diaspora.
A documentary highlighting the current situation and human rights violations in IIOJK was played before the audience. Messages from the President, Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read out before the audience.
Ambassador, in his remarks, condemned India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019, paid tribute to the valiant Kashmiris and affirmed that Pakistan will continue to support Kashmiris morally as well as diplomatically, till the attainment of their inalienable right to self-determination.
On the directives of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, a one-minute silence was observed to mark the Day, in solidarity with the Kashmiri people, worldwide.
