Rabia Shafiq holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration/ Public Administration from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad and a Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Oxford (UK).
She joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 2001 and has since held various key positions: At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she served as Desk Officer (2002 & 2003-2005), Director (2008-2012 & 2015-2017) and Director General (2020-2024). Her diplomatic postings include Pakistan’s Missions in Paris (2005-2008), Ankara (2013-2015), and Chicago (2017-2020).
Since June 2024, she has been serving as the High Commissioner at the Pakistan High Commission in Singapore.
Rabia Shafiq is fluent in English, Urdu, and French. She is married.
