Ambassador Shahbaz Malik assumed charge as Ambassador of Pakistan to Cuba on 6 December, 2022. Ambassador Malik served as Deputy High Commissioner at the High Commission of Pakistan in Ottawa (2019-2022). He has also served at Pakistan’s Missions in Kenya, South Korea and Uzbekistan.

At the Headquarters, Ambassador Malik has worked as Assistant Director in the Protocol Division, Director Central Asia and as Director Foreign Services Academy.  

Born in 1971, Ambassador Malik joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 2002. He holds a Masters degree in Economics. He is married with three children.
