Online Visa Application

All Pakistani visa applications must be submitted online through the Pakistan Online Visa System:

Applicants are required to visit the Consulate only if they are specifically requested to appear for an interview.

Applicants applying from a country other than their home country are required to upload proof of legal residence in the country from which they are applying.

Please Note: Issuance of a visa is the prerogative of the Government of Pakistan. Applicants may be requested to provide additional documents or information during the processing of their application.

1. Tourist Visa

Required Documents

2. Family Visa

Required Documents

• Recent photograph

• Valid passport

• Proof of family relationship or Pakistani origin, as applicable, such as:

  • Pakistan Origin Card (POC)

  • Marriage Certificate

  • Birth Certificate

  • CNIC/NICOP

3. Work Visa

Employment with a Company

Applicants employed by a company are required to provide:

• Valid passport

• Recent photograph

• Employment letter from an SECP-registered company indicating salary and duration of assignment/appointment, or sponsorship/guarantee letter from the company

• Recommendation of the concerned Board of Investment (BOI) / Community Welfare Attaché (CWA)

Employment with a Sole Proprietor / Individually Owned Business

Applicants employed by an individually owned business are required to provide:

• Valid passport

• Recent photograph

• Employment letter/agreement indicating salary and duration of assignment/appointment, or sponsorship/guarantee letter from the employer

• Tax certification of the employer

• CNIC/Passport of the employer

• Recommendation of the concerned BOI/CWA

4. Business Visa

Required Documents

• Recent photograph

• Valid passport

• Proof of registration of the company extending the invitation, such as:

  • SECP registration; or

  • Chamber of Commerce Certificate

In addition, one of the following is required:

• Recommendation letter from the Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CC&I) of the respective foreign country; or

• Invitation letter from a business organization duly recommended by the concerned trade organization in Pakistan. The required invitation may be obtained through Pakistan's E-Business Invitation Letter System; or

• Recommendation letter from the Honorary Investment Counsellor of the Board of Investment (BOI) / Commercial Attaché.

5. Student Visa

Required Documents

• Recent photograph

• Valid passport

• Admission/Bonafide Letter

• NOC from the relevant authority, as applicable:

  • Higher Education Commission (HEC)

  • Economic Affairs Division

  • IPC

  • Ministry of Health

  • Ministry of Education

• For an Entry Visa: NOC from the concerned Government

• For an Extension: NOC from the concerned Embassy in Pakistan of the student's country

• Sponsorship/Bank Statement in case of accompanying family members

6. Journalist Visa

Required Documents

• Recent photograph

• Valid passport

• Letter from the Media Agency/Organization

• Recommendation from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Press Attaché or Pakistan Mission Abroad

7. Official Visa

Required Documents

• Recent photograph

• Valid passport

• Letter of Recommendation from the Economic Affairs Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the respective Ministry/Department

• Military Service Form, where the purpose of the visit involves a military establishment

Visa Fees

Visa fees are paid online at the time of submitting the visa application. Payment can be made by card only; cash payments are not accepted.

• All visa applications must be submitted through the Pakistan Online Visa System.

• Visa fees are paid online during the application process.

• Visa fees are non-refundable irrespective of the final decision on the visa application.

• Applicants should visit the Consulate only when specifically requested for an interview.

• Applicants applying from a third country must provide proof of their legal residence in that country.

• The Government of Pakistan reserves the right to request additional information or documentation and to grant or refuse a visa.
