Documents listed below #1-4 are required when coming to submit your application in person:
Passports can be renewed any time before expiry from the Consulate , for first time Pakistani passport there will be a mandatory background check from Pakistan required which will take 3-6 month as per SOP issued by government of Pakistan.
- No Passport Application will be processed without Original and photocopy of valid Computerized National Identity Card.
(NIC/ CNIC / NICOP / Smart NICOP) *In case of married women, CNIC / NICOP / Smart NICOP shall have updated marital status.
- Married female applicants are required to produce original CNIC / NICOP / Smart National ID Card containing their husband’s name.
They would otherwise be required to get their CNIC / NICOP / Smart National ID Card modified in accordance with their marital status before applying for MRP.
- Original, most recently issued previous Pakistani Passport and photocopies of information page.
- Pakistan Government employees
They are required to produce original No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued within the last ninety (90) days by their respective Ministries / Divisions / Departments.
- Proof of Legal Status in Canada
Original and Photocopy of Canadian/American PR/Green card/passport/citizenship/study permit/work permit/visitor visa).
*Please note that the In-charge Passport Section has final say on the approval of application and has the right to reject any that don’t meet proper standards.

Collection of Passport Information:
After successful completion of above stages, the applicant will be given.
- 30 days’ time to collect his/her passport in case of normal application
- 15 days’ time to collect his/her passport in case of urgent application
Who can Collect MRP other than Applicant?
Only blood relatives are allowed to pick up the MRP with the handwritten authorization from the applicant. (Only if the applicant is not able to come)
Collection By Mail:
Consulate General of Pakistan doesn’t provide the mail facility; however, applicant can give pre-paid self- addressed registered courier envelope on his/her own risk at the time of process in order to enable us to mail his/her passport.
Pickup Instructions:
MRP passport pickup: Monday-Friday: 2-4pm
-Please bring the original receipt. (if the receipt is lost the MRP will only be issued in person)

** The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (IMPASS) has informed that due to increased number of passport applications, there will be considerable delays in passport delivery time for all applicants.
Accordingly, the Consulate General of Pakistan has revised the passport delivery times as follows:
Category Expected Delivery Time
Normal 40-50 days
Urgent. 20-25 days

Documents listed below #1-7 is required when coming to submit your application.
Passports can be renewed any time before expiry from the Consulate.
- Presence of both parents
- In case of Parents are not divorced:Presence of both parents (mother & father) is mandatory. In case of absence of one of them, please bring (in original) his/her legal consent NOC form notarized by a notary public, lawyer, or you may check if the nearest High Commission/Consulate of Pakistan can facilitate you.
Exception: In case one of the parent’s is deceased the parent who is alive must appear in person. There are no exceptions. Original death certificate (along with photocopy) of the deceased parent must be shown at the time of application.
- In Case of divorced or separation:Passport will only be process if the parent has Original Guardianship / Custody from any court of Law (or True Copy) clearly stating that “ Custodial parent is allowed to travel with minor and make Passport or NICOP etc documents”
- Original and photocopy of valid National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) or Juvenile card or NADRA Child Registration Certificate, for children above 10 years of age (Containing fingerprints and Photographs ) , Passport will not be issued on the basis of B-Form.
- Original and photocopy of valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC/NICOP) of Mother.
- Original and photocopy of valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC/NICOP) of Father.
- Original and photocopy of Birth Certificate.
- Original previous Pakistani Passport and photocopies of pages 1-4 and page 7.Child whose name was endorsed on mother/father’s manual passport, should produce that passport in original.
- If the Passport is lost.
- Loss of Passport police report. (In Original)
- Passport verification from concerned passport authority.
- Note:New MRP only be processed after receiving the verification from the passport issuing office and police report from concern police station.
Instruction:
Kindly Staple your photocopies of documents in the following order:
- Receipt of payment (issued in our office) or certified cheque/bank draft/money order in original with a photocopy.
- Nadra’s Child Registration Certificate (CRC or Bay Form/Form B or NICOP or Smart NICOP.
- Previous Pakistani Passport (First four pages).
- Birth Certificate.
- Father’s CNIC /NICOP/Smart NICOP.
- Mother’s CNIC/NICOP/Smart NICOP.
- Notarized NOC form (in case of absence of one parent)
- Police report (if passport is lost).
- Passport verification (if passport is lost).

Please note, the following documents/procedure is being followed for Passport renewal of Minors (for below, 18 years of age) with single parent. (Reference: Passport Rules 2021)
- Original Child registration certificate (CRC/B-form) or FRC (Family registration Certificate) or Smart Card / NICOP.
- Original Birth Certificate in case of first Passport from foreign country
- Original previous Pakistani Passports if any.
- Original valid Foreign Passport (Dual Nationals only)
- The Minor will be accompanied by either of his/her parent or legal guardian appointed by the court of law, along with the original valid CNIC/NICOP of the parent/guardian.
- In case parents are separated/divorced, bring custody papers granted by the Court of Law.
- In case the parents of the minor are divorced or separated and the application for a passport is submitted by either of the parents, in respect of the minor. Explicit permission will be required for the issuance of a passport, in the shape of the other parent’s physical presence, or through his/her consent on duly attested non-judicial stamp paper.
- In case of a guardian, bring a guardianship certificate, issued by the court of law and the appointed Guardian will visit the Passport office personally with the minor, along with his/her original CNIC and its photocopy.
- In case of Lost Passport, bring a lost passport police report mentioning the Passport number.
- In case either of the Parents is deceased, his/her original Death Certificate.

Photocopies of above mentioned documentation are also required .

- The Consulate does not deal with manual VISA anymore. The applicants are advised to apply for the renewal of their VISA on the website

- Fresh visa for Pakistan will only be issued on the expiry of previous visa.
