Pakistan had established diplomatic relations with Brunei Darussalam on 9th February 1984 soon after the independence of Brunei Darussalam. Pakistan established its High Commission in Bandar Seri Begawan in 1985. Pakistan’s relations with Brunei are marked by cordiality, warmth and mutually beneficial cooperation. Two brotherly countries share the commonality of use of important regional and international issues. The year 2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Brunei Darussalam. Pakistan High Commission in Brunei Darussalam is located in Bandar Seri Begawan. It is run by High Commissioner and one officer. It provides consular services to 1000 Pakistanis living in Brunei. The Defence Attache of Pakistan, posted in Kuala Lumpur, is concurrently accredited to Brunei Darussalam.
